Inspiration! xx

Hiya everyone! I really wanted to write a more chit-chatty post today, and there is a specific topic that I wanted to share. As you may have noticed, I am usually behind my blogging schedule and struggle to upload posts to meet my once-a-week goal. This is due to the fact that I lack inspiration. Sometimes I open up my laptop and start to write a post, but the words never seem to flow the way I want them to. Or the topic doesn't draw me in. But what can I do to cure my writer's block? I thought that in this post, I would not just try to help you, loyal readers out there, but help myself find new and exciting topics to share.

Where to start?
To begin, think of your interests. What do you do in your spare time? This could become the theme or topic of your post. Notice any trends from other bloggers? Why not incorporate ones that excite you? Or, is there something that you have been dying to say to the internet? Emotions that you need to express?

Stuck? Here are some places I go for help:
*YouTube- Most internet trends originate here, from beauty to DIYs to comedy sketches.
*Blogs- Why not check out what your favourite bloggers are writing about? I personally love to read others blogs because as well as giving me great ideas, they also show me how others have managed to get their thoughts down in word form.
*Instagram- When in doubt, Instagram's 'explore' page is the one for you! The website will suggest posts that they think will be interesting for you (duh!), leaving you no excuse to lack inspiration.

So, you've got the idea, but you are not sure how to convey it in words? Don't worry! The internet isn't like your high school English class, just be yourself; writing a blog post in a similar way to the way you speak gives the readers an insight into your personality (and it's way more fun!) I'm sure that it will be a success!

Thank you for reading my post, and make sure to check out all of my links so you are aware when I next upload here (hopefully not too long from now!) I really appreciate all of your comments, you guys really make me smile! See you soon, Gracie Xx

Back To School Makeup Look! XxX

Hiya everyone! I know that this may be a little late, but I really wanted to write a back-to-school post since I have not started school yet. Last year I did a 'Back To School Guide' (which I highly recommend you read here) so to make things different I thought that I would go a bit more in-depth into the perfect school time look. The look I am showing you today is a natural look that shouldn't eat up much of your precious time in the morning. Here is the look:

    What I used:
   Tools
*Kabuki Brush
*Makeup Sponge/ Beauty Blender (I used the Real Techniques sponge)
*Eyelash Curler
Makeup
*Neutrogena CC cream
*Rimmel Stay Matte powder
*Maybelline Brow Drama brow gel
*Rimmel Volume Colourist mascara

  • First, apply your favourite moisturiser and a primer if needed.
  • If your skin is more uneven, you can apply a tinted moisturiser or BB/CC cream as a base; my personal favourite is this Neutrogena CC cream as it contains ingredients that help fight breakouts. I would highly recommend this is you have bad breakouts but don't want to make them worse by applying a thick layer of foundation. I prefer to apply this with a makeup sponge as it leaves the most natural finish on the skin. If your skin is fairly clear, you could skip this step.
  • Set your makeup with translucent powder, or if you want to use powder alone then you could apply a coloured powder like the Rimmel Stay Matte (this also comes in translucent!)
  • I like to fill in my brows every day, but for school, I use a product that is a lot less harsh like a brow gel. You can leave your brows if you are lucky enough to have darker brow hairs!
  • After curling your lashes, finish the look with a slick of mascara. This can always be substituted to clear mascara if your school won't allow it.
As we are on the topic of school, I thought that I would show you this amazing app that really helps you to organise yourself at school. The app is called 'The homework app' and it allows you to create your own, personal timetable, record homework and check to see when tasks are due. After recording down your homework, the app will remind you to complete it a few days before it's due. This app is a lifesaver and I would definitely recommend!

Thank you for reading my post, and please check out all of my other links to stay updated for when I upload. I hope you all have a pleasant first day back and I will hopefully see you again here!
