Bedroom Makeover Update! xox

Hiya everyone! As you may remember, I posted a blog about my bedroom makeover a few months ago. Now that I have had  few months to personalize my room, I am very happy with how it looks and I would like you to show you what it looks like now! Lots of the items in my rooms are from Primark Home because I love the brand and it is so affordable. I love decorating my room, so if you would like any more room decor posts then let me know in the comments. Here is what I did to my bedroom!

I have added some rose gold fairy lights to my bedframe and a rose gold pillow to my bed from Primark. Also hanging from my bed is a wooden plaque saying 'Check Meowt!' (I love cats haha) and another grey throw from Primark.

Next to my dresser are some wicker boxes filled with my bags, which are new. These were from my brother's room but he didn't need them anymore.

My bookshelves are filled with decor that I have collected over the past year. The big, red arrow, set of three pink, rose candles, large, striped makeup bag and set of three, gold frames are from Primark. I am constantly changing up these shelves but I love how they look at the moment.

My makeup table holds all of my cosmetics, brushes, hair products, nail products (nail polishes found in the jar on the bookshelf), perfumes and skincare. I also love my floral lamp next to my mirror. If you would like to see my makeup collection post from a while ago then click here.

On my dresser and shelf is a whole new set of Primark Home goodies. (this post is not sponsored by them I just love their decor!) On my dresser, I have a light up initial next to a rose gold hexagonal frame from Primark- perfect for displaying polaroids and photo booth strips. I also have the same acrylic drawers as the ones on my desk. I love these fake cactus plants from Primark- they were only £2 each! The pineapple canvas is really cute too! My initial was a gift, and everything else here was repositioned from my bookshelf.

Next to my new grey curtains and blinds is my wardrobe which I decorated with some colourful fairy lights from Tiger.

Thanks for reading my post, I really appreciate all of the support that you lot give me! Please check out all of my links, and look at my recent blog posts whilst you are there. See you soon, Gracie xx

Inspiration! xx

Hiya everyone! I really wanted to write a more chit-chatty post today, and there is a specific topic that I wanted to share. As you may have noticed, I am usually behind my blogging schedule and struggle to upload posts to meet my once-a-week goal. This is due to the fact that I lack inspiration. Sometimes I open up my laptop and start to write a post, but the words never seem to flow the way I want them to. Or the topic doesn't draw me in. But what can I do to cure my writer's block? I thought that in this post, I would not just try to help you, loyal readers out there, but help myself find new and exciting topics to share.

Where to start?
To begin, think of your interests. What do you do in your spare time? This could become the theme or topic of your post. Notice any trends from other bloggers? Why not incorporate ones that excite you? Or, is there something that you have been dying to say to the internet? Emotions that you need to express?

Stuck? Here are some places I go for help:
*YouTube- Most internet trends originate here, from beauty to DIYs to comedy sketches.
*Blogs- Why not check out what your favourite bloggers are writing about? I personally love to read others blogs because as well as giving me great ideas, they also show me how others have managed to get their thoughts down in word form.
*Instagram- When in doubt, Instagram's 'explore' page is the one for you! The website will suggest posts that they think will be interesting for you (duh!), leaving you no excuse to lack inspiration.

So, you've got the idea, but you are not sure how to convey it in words? Don't worry! The internet isn't like your high school English class, just be yourself; writing a blog post in a similar way to the way you speak gives the readers an insight into your personality (and it's way more fun!) I'm sure that it will be a success!

Thank you for reading my post, and make sure to check out all of my links so you are aware when I next upload here (hopefully not too long from now!) I really appreciate all of your comments, you guys really make me smile! See you soon, Gracie Xx

Back To School Makeup Look! XxX

Hiya everyone! I know that this may be a little late, but I really wanted to write a back-to-school post since I have not started school yet. Last year I did a 'Back To School Guide' (which I highly recommend you read here) so to make things different I thought that I would go a bit more in-depth into the perfect school time look. The look I am showing you today is a natural look that shouldn't eat up much of your precious time in the morning. Here is the look:

    What I used:
   Tools
*Kabuki Brush
*Makeup Sponge/ Beauty Blender (I used the Real Techniques sponge)
*Eyelash Curler
Makeup
*Neutrogena CC cream
*Rimmel Stay Matte powder
*Maybelline Brow Drama brow gel
*Rimmel Volume Colourist mascara

  • First, apply your favourite moisturiser and a primer if needed.
  • If your skin is more uneven, you can apply a tinted moisturiser or BB/CC cream as a base; my personal favourite is this Neutrogena CC cream as it contains ingredients that help fight breakouts. I would highly recommend this is you have bad breakouts but don't want to make them worse by applying a thick layer of foundation. I prefer to apply this with a makeup sponge as it leaves the most natural finish on the skin. If your skin is fairly clear, you could skip this step.
  • Set your makeup with translucent powder, or if you want to use powder alone then you could apply a coloured powder like the Rimmel Stay Matte (this also comes in translucent!)
  • I like to fill in my brows every day, but for school, I use a product that is a lot less harsh like a brow gel. You can leave your brows if you are lucky enough to have darker brow hairs!
  • After curling your lashes, finish the look with a slick of mascara. This can always be substituted to clear mascara if your school won't allow it.
As we are on the topic of school, I thought that I would show you this amazing app that really helps you to organise yourself at school. The app is called 'The homework app' and it allows you to create your own, personal timetable, record homework and check to see when tasks are due. After recording down your homework, the app will remind you to complete it a few days before it's due. This app is a lifesaver and I would definitely recommend!

Thank you for reading my post, and please check out all of my other links to stay updated for when I upload. I hope you all have a pleasant first day back and I will hopefully see you again here!

MY TRIP TO AMERICA!

Hiya everyone! As you may have noticed, I have been quite inactive recently because I went to America for 2 weeks! After having the greatest time of my life (and returning being very jetlagged) I decided to compile some photos and share them with you. Just as a side note, I went to America before with my family and we visited the Disney parks (EG Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot) when I was a lot younger, so this was my second trip to America.

This year, my family and I went to Universal Studios, Universal Islands of Adventure, Wet 'n' Wild, SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and Aquatica. These parks had much bigger rides than the ones I had seen on my previous trip, but I love rides so I was okay with that! After 10 days of parks in Orlando, we took a road trip down to the picturesque Clearwater beach for the remainder of the holiday. Here we were closest to Busch Gardens, but the beaches here were amazing too! Here are some pictures that I took on my holiday.

What's In My Bag? Xxx

Hiya everyone! A few weeks ago I got a new bag, and I really wanted to show you! Also, this post has been requested quite a lot, which really made me happy because there is no point writing a post if you guys are not interested! So here is my bag.

I got my bag from Portugal, and it is by the brand 'Darfois'. It is a brown, leather bag with a chevron print inside. This bag also comes with a separate bag inside, of which is very useful to store more precious/delicate items. The bag ties up with some strings at the top, and there is also a sweet, little notebook that hangs off of the handle. Just to say, I have not had this bag for very long so  I only have my necessities in here.

In the main section of my bag I keep more bulky items that I do not reach for as often ie:
*Apple earphones for when I am on the go!
*My Glasses and case- My glasses are from Karen Millen and I absolutely LOVE them!
*My Sunglasses and case- My gold/copper case is from Guess but it is quite old.

Inside the smaller section of my bag, I keep more fragile items/ items I want to keep safe ie:
*My phone (I forgot to show this in the picture)
*My keys
*My purse
*My hairbrush
*Mentos 3 fruit gum (This is so good!)
*My pocket mirror
*Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
*Rimmel Apocolips lip lacquer in 'Shooting Star'
*Nivea lip balm in 'Pearly Shine'
*Primark rollerball perfume in Polka

Thank you for reading my post, and I hope you guys are having an amazing Summer! See you guys soon, Gracie Xxx

Summer Product Reccomendations 2016 XxX

Hiya everyone! Our 6-week break is finally within our reach! Due to the excitement of the end of academic year, I decided it would be fitting to talk to you guys about my must-haves for the upcoming season. Here are my recommendations.

NEUTROGENA TINTED MOISTURISER
I love this because as well as giving me some coverage, this product contains ingredients that will help to heal your spots. I always used to steer clear of face products because I didn't want them to sweat off and clog up my pores, but with this I can use however much I want!

NSPA SPRAYS
These sprays come in a huge variety of scents, and the main reason that I love them is that they smell so organic and fresh! I think this may be due to the fact that they claim to have fruit extracts in the ingredients and also natural vitamins for your skin. Also they are really inexpensive, and the perfect spritz for your Summer!

NIVEA ROSE LIP BALM
Sometimes my lips get quite dry, so I don't always want to wear a lipstick when I go out. Now that I have discovered this I can have moisturised lips and a gorgeous glossy, rosey tint. This would also be great for a pool day since you will not have to worry about your lippie smudging!

BARRY M NAIL POLISH
Barry M polishes are my favourite because of their great quality, and this one is no different. I love the colour and it is a quick-drying polish so you don't have to waste any of your time in the sun!

REVOLUTION MSS
I cannot think of anything worse that wearing makeup in the hot sun and it melting right off your face! I find that this setting spray works better than a primer at keeping your makeup on through humid temperatures, and the spray cools and refreshes your face too. 2 in 1!

Thank you for reading my post, and I hope that you are enjoying my recent blog posts also. Please follow my blog, and there is also a link to my Instagram if you would like to check it out. Hope you are having a nice day and I will see you soon!

Topshop haul! XxX

Hiya everyone! Today I am going to show you some Topshop items that were kindly given to me (again!) These clothes are more autumnal/wintery but they are more casual and definitely my sort of style. Here are the tops that I was given, hope you enjoy!

Vests
I really like these vest tops because they are very flattering yet suitable for everyday wear.

 Smarter wear
Firstly, I absolutely love black clothes, but I love these because they are really feminine and fun.

 Cardigan
This cardigan has a lovely feather print and I love the batwing sleeves.

Crop Tops
I wear crop tops on a regular basis, so these are perfect for me. I love the neutral colours too.

Thank you for reading my post, and whilst you're here why not check out my recent posts aswell?! Leave any nice comments down below, and follow my blog to join our family! see you soon, Gracie xx

Review of the MAC Fluidline Brow Pomeade!

Hiya everyone! So, if you have read my half-term haul, then you would know that I bought an MAC Fluidline in True Brunette. Now I have had time to practice using this product and get used to it, I thought it was time to review it for you! Here is what I thought:

Firstly, this product is £16, which is one of the most expensive brow products yet one of the cheapest products sold at MAC. The product itself is quite small, but I have used it almost every day and there is barely a dent! The formula of this product is very creamy, but when it dries it is super matte.

The application of the product was hard to master, but after a while, I found it easier. You can make this product really natural if you brush it through with a spoolie, or make it really intense. Also, if you make a mistake, the product can be easily removed with a cotton bud.

The product comes in 5 shades, which is quite good for a brow product. It also claims to be long wearing and waterproof; I have not tested the waterproof factor yet but I think that it is definitely long-wearing.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this product if you like a defined brow (whether it is really dark or more natural), but if you like to make the shape a little less intense or you are on a budget, then maybe this is not for you.
If you are interested in the MAC Fluidline, then click here to check it out on MAC's website.

Thank you for reading my post, and please check out my links on my page. If you have any requests for posts, please leave them in the comments below. See you soon, Gracie Xx

My Makeup Collection and Storage! Xxxx

Hiya everyone! So recently I have been really trying to tidy and build up my makeup collection, and I think I am proud of it! Here is how I store my makeup, hope you enjoy!

To the left is my Amazon Luxebelle makeup brushes in a heart mug. If you are interested in these brushes, I did a blog post on them which you can read here. Next to this is a plastic makeup container which holds my lipsticks, brushes and favourite perfume- Zara 'Candy'. In the lipstick holders, I have 3 MAC lipglosses, one MAC lipstick and 2 Primark lipsticks.
In the top drawer, I have my go-to nude lipsticks. My favourites are my MUA liquid lip stain in 'Tranquillity' and my Rimmel 'Apocalips' lip stain in 'Shooting Star'.
In the bottom, drawer, I have my bolder lipsticks. My favourites are my Ted Baker liquid lipstick and my MAC Dazzleglass in 'Love Alert'.

Starting from the right, I have my eyeshadow palettes. My favorites are my W7 Lightly Toasted palette and my Soap and Glory 'Lid Stuff' palette. Next to them I have my mascaras, of which my favourite is Benefit's Roller Lash. Above them I have my eyeliners, and my favorite is my Barry M Khol liner in White. To the left of them I have my concealers, my favorite one of them is the Benefit 'Oooh La Lift'(I'm not too sure if this counts a concealer but oh well!) And underneath them are my skin products, and my fave is the MAC Studio fix powder. These products are stored in a plastic divider box, which are really easy to get hold of!
Next to these are some blushes and benefit minis, I love the Bene Balm and Tint! And finally, above them are my bronzers and highlighters. My faves are my Collection 'Speedy Highlight' and my Revolution 'Ultra Bronze'.
(Incase you are wondering, this is the same drawer as the previous picture)
In the bottom right are some loose shadows. My favorite ones are my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' and the 915 shadow in 'Bronze'. Next to them are some more loose shadows by the brand 'Flutter Cosmetics'. I have every shade- they are so pigmented! On the left of them are all of my lip balms, my fave is the Maybelline Baby Lips in 'Pink Punch'. The rest of the drawer is just filled with nail polish and nail tools, My fave polishes are my Barry M Speedy nail paint and my Ted Baker Nail polish.

Thank you for reading my post, and make sure to check out all of links around my page! And also follow me if you are not already to become a member of our family! See you soon, Gracie xxx

Revision Tips! Xx

Hiya everyone! So I know that it is revision season at the moment, so I thought that I would reach out to everyone revising for exams (including me!) and provide you with some useful tips to help you! Here are some facts that I have discovered through experience...

1) Plan when you are going to revise
I cannot stress enough how important it is to set a time for when you are going to revise. If I just have a small amount of revision to do or the revision is not urgent, then I will set one piece per day. If I have to complete lots in one day, then I will start as early as I can so my brain can have a rest in the evening. The best way to do this is to get yourself a planner or journal; this can be used to create lists, record due dates, and plan your revision sessions.

2) Create the perfect studying environment
Before you start, create a calm working space so you can concentrate. Put any distractions out of sight, play some relaxing music and even light some fresh smelling candles.

3) Find a study buddy
Revising can be fun! Get a friend, make some flashcards, and test each other on facts, dates, and numbers. They can help you if you are stuck, but also can make you better if you need to help the other person!

4) Colour code
If you are like me and have the need to always have the perfect presentation, then you will love this tip! Write key facts in another colour to make them stand out and stay in your head. You could also underline and label things in other colours to pretty up your notes!

5) Come back
My teacher once told me that from one lesson, you retain about 10% of the information that you are told. If you revisit that in 24 hours then you will retain about 20% of the information. Come back again in 48 hours and you now know 40% of the information. Keep doing this process through the week, and by the end, you should know about 90% of the information. I found this  really interesting!

Thank you for reading my post, and good luck to any of you that have exams coming up! Please follow my blog, and become part of the family! See you soon, Gracie xx

Updated Everyday Summer Makeup! xox

Hiya everyone! A while ago, I posted my 'Everyday Makeup Routine' but recently it has changed quite a bit. This is also a bit less makeup since it is the Summer, and it includes a more dewy finish. Here is what I use!

1) Primer
I use the Rimmel 'Lasting Finish' primer under my makeup to make it last all day. I really like this because it gives my skin a glowy finish  as well as keeping the makeup on my face.
2) Tinted Powder
I use the MAC Studio Fix powder in the shade NC20,which I love because it is formulated to cover imperfections whilst letting your skin breathe.
3) Contour
I use the Revolution 'Ultra Bronze' for my bronzer, and trust me if you get this you will not need a new one for a long time! It is huge! But it is just your standard matte bronzer to be honest.
4) Highlight
I use the Collection 'Speedy Highlight' and Oh My God it is the best highlight I have ever used! I is a cream, so it makes your skin look really dewy! The colour is really pearlescent and light-reflecting, so if you like a really bold highlight then you would love this!
5) Brows
I actually just use a Primark brow kit, and it is just the same as and other brow kit that you could get from Superdrug! I use the lighter powder and the wax afterward to set it.
6) CC Cream
I use this a concealer, because my skin does not really like concealer for some reason. I use this after I have done my brows to carve them out and make them more defined.
7) Eyeshadow
I don't put anything on my lids in summer, but I put a shimmery cream shade in my tear duct and on my brow bone.
8)Eyeliner
I use the Barry M kohl liner in white in my waterline to make my eyes pop.
9) Mascara
I use two mascaras- the KIKO Active+ Mascara and the Benefit Roller Lash. I love both of these mascaras, but I find that the Benefit one is a bit clumpy and makes my eyelashes a bit thick sometimes.
I also usually use a setting spray but I have run out at the moment and I haven't had the chance to get a new one.

Thank you for reading my post, and follow me to join our family! I hope you are having a great day, see you soon! Gracie x
